Top Biggest Mistakes To Avoid

1. Forgetting to turn off top off when draining dirty water
2. Feeding too much
3. Leaving heaters exposed to air
4. Drastic changes in salinity
5. Don't let ATO bucket get empty

Miscellaneous Processes

Adding new fish is a tricky process but not one we are against! Let us know if it's something your thinking about.

1. Research

• Compatability with current residents and corals
• Size of full grown fish
• Where you can get the fish, is it a reputable place

Things to consider:

• Though there isn't a set limit of how many fish a tank should have, the more fish there are, the more often the tank will need cleaning
• Invertebrates don't have the same strain on the bioload as fish and can sometimes be easier to add

2. Quarantine

• Fish will need to be quarantined for 4-6 weeks in a separate tank before being added to the display tank

3. Observation

• The new addition will need to be watched closely for a couple days.

Vacation

The fish can be left alone with automatic food/top off and a camera for about 1 week. Though, it's best if someone can be on hand in case something falls over.

1. The top off bucket will need to be filled almost to the brim.
2. The feeder slots will need to be filled with dry food, and then feeder will need to be hooked on the edge of the tank.

If longer is needed you can leave extra water and have someone fill the ATO bucket once while you're gone.
